Changed in Community: The Arena Where Transformation Is on Display
I want to talk to the man doing this by himself. Not the guy who already quit. He's still trying. Still reading his Bible in the morning. Still telling himself this is the year he finally gets it right. And still failing in the exact same spot, alone, with nobody watching and nobody knowing.
A few episodes back, on "No More Hiding," I talked about the man who smiles on Sunday and barely survives Monday. This episode picks up somewhere different. It's about the man who finally got honest with himself and then tried to fix everything entirely on his own, and why that never works.
Honesty with God isn't information for Him. He already knows. It's deliverance for you. But a man who stops at private honesty and never brings another human being into it is a man I've watched come apart quietly, no matter how strong or disciplined he is. Two or three peers, not admirers, change that. And transformation itself isn't a one time decision. It's a renewing that has to happen in a room, with people, where it can be tested and proven real.
